Here’s What You’ll Do

Over the next 30 days, you’ll complete three major speeches:

  1. Impromptu Speech (5 minutes)

  2. Business Pitch (8–10 minutes)

  3. TED-style Talk (8–12 minutes)

Each speech builds core skills in clarity, confidence, structure, and persuasion. You’ll receive direct coaching, detailed rubrics, and targeted drills.

You’re going to complete one key module per week. Every week, there will also be office hours for you to come, ask questions, and perform. (The specific timing will be, or was, discussed with you when you registered.)

🧭 Week 1 – Mindset, Delivery, and Storytelling Foundations

Goal: Build confidence, vocal clarity, and personal story structure

✓ Record your baseline intro speech
✓ Learn the “Why You / Why Me / Why Now” framework
✓ Submit 2–3 personal stories using the EPIC format
✓ First Impromptu Speech (3–5 minutes)
🧭 Week 2 – Business Pitch: Clarity with Structure

Goal: Craft a persuasive, real-world 8–10 minute pitch.

✓ Build your pitch using a structure map
✓ Analyze the problem and explain why it matters now
✓ Offer your solution using a sticky framework or metaphor
✓ Add a credibility moment and preemptive objection handling
✓ Deliver and record your business pitch (8-10 minutes)
🧭 Week 3 – TED-style Talk: Tell Your One Big Idea

Goal: Turn personal insight into public impact

✓ Write and test a powerful opening line
✓ Share your personal exposure to a growing societal problem
✓ Present your original, personal solution
✓ Use “Three Ps” (Problem, Proposal, Proof) for persuasion
✓ Deliver and record your TED-style talk (8–12 minutes)
🧭 Week 4 – Delivery Mastery

Goal: Refine delivery, audience awareness, and self-reliance.

✓ Perform speech using a cheat sheet (no full script)
✓ Run drills: out-of-order, intensity, emotional variation
✓ Adapt your speech for different types of audiences
✓ Choose your strongest speech and deliver it solo, final vers
✓ Submit final video for evaluation + completion bonus eligibi

Need to Know

●       All ‘final’ weekly speeches must be performed in front of a live, in-person audience. Record and upload your full performance by the listed deadline.

●       You have one 48-hour grace period during the course. Use it wisely. Missing more than one deadline = no Completion Bonus.

●       Completion Bonus: Submit all three speeches on time, meet rubric standards, and earn $500 back.
